Bonjour (and soon, bless bless!), explorers! Flat Stanley Brayden here. Today was a travel day—packing up, saying goodbye to Paris, and flying to a whole new country: Iceland! Let’s see how the day went.
Morning: Packing Up and Saying Goodbye
We woke up in Paris, and it was time to pack our suitcases and get ready for our next adventure. I helped Toni check under the beds and in the drawers, making sure we didn’t leave anything behind. We said goodbye to the ship and to Paris, where we had so many fun memories.
Traveling to the Airport
After breakfast, we took a taxi to the airport. The streets of Paris were busy, and I waved at the Eiffel Tower as we drove by. At the airport, we checked in our bags, went through security, and found our gate.
Travel Tip:
Always keep your passport and boarding pass handy when traveling to a new country!
Flight to Iceland
Our plane took off and soon we were high above the clouds. I looked out the window and saw clouds shaped like mountains and oceans. The flight attendants gave us snacks and drinks, and I tried to guess what Iceland would look like from the air.
Fun Fact:
Iceland is called the “Land of Fire and Ice” because it has volcanoes and glaciers!
Arriving in Iceland
When we landed, the air felt fresh and a little chilly—even in June! We picked up our bags, went through customs, and met our driver for the ride to our hotel.
Learning Moment:
Iceland is a small island country in the North Atlantic Ocean. It’s famous for its hot springs, waterfalls, and friendly people!
Checking In and Exploring the Hotel
At the hotel, we checked in and got settled in our new room. The beds were cozy, and I was excited to see what adventures we’d have tomorrow.

Question for You
If you could fly anywhere in the world, where would you go? What would you want to see or do first when you arrive?
That’s all for today, fellow travelers! Tomorrow, we’ll start exploring Iceland. Stay tuned for more adventures with Flat Stanley Brayden!
Bless bless (that’s “bye bye” in Icelandic) for now!
