Bonjour, explorers! Flat Stanley Brayden here, and today was our final full day on the river cruise. We visited a real French castle, sailed back into the heart of Paris, and ended the night with a show that had everyone dancing (even Rob!). Let’s relive this amazing day together!
Morning: Château de Malmaison – The Home of an Empress
Our adventure began with a visit to the beautiful Château de Malmaison, just outside Paris. This was once the home of Josephine, the wife of Napoleon Bonaparte! The castle was filled with fancy furniture, sparkling chandeliers, and gardens full of roses. Our guide told us stories about Josephine’s love for plants and animals—she even had kangaroos and black swans!
Fun Fact:
Josephine collected so many rare plants that her garden became one of the most famous in France!
Afternoon: Cruising Down the Seine to Paris
After exploring the château, we returned to our ship for one last cruise down the Seine River. The sun was shining as we glided past green parks, little towns, and finally, the tall buildings of Paris. I stood on the deck, waving at people along the riverbanks and snapping a few last photos of the Eiffel Tower.

Travel Tip:
Evening: Can Can Show – Rob Steals the Spotlight!
After dinner, it was time for a real Parisian treat—a Can Can show right on our ship! The dancers wore colorful costumes, kicked their legs high, and the music was so lively. I am still confused by the name since they never used a soup can or a soda can, still waiting to see them juggling cans or something. But the best part? Rob from our group was invited on stage to join the dancers! Everyone clapped and cheered as he did his best Can Can moves. It was hilarious and made the night extra special.
Docked in Paris – The City of Lights
All day and night, our ship stayed docked in Paris. I loved looking out at the sparkling city and knowing we were right in the heart of all the action.

Question for You
If you could visit a real castle or join a famous show, which would you choose? What would your costume look like?
That’s all for today, friends! Tomorrow we say goodbye to the ship, but I’ll never forget the adventures, the friends, and the fun we had along the Seine. Stay tuned for more travels with Flat Stanley Brayden!
Au revoir from Paris!
